The Health & Wellbeing section of Pupil Asset can be used to record a number of important details about a pupil. Much of the information added here can also be used to filter groups of children within Pupil List or can be displayed in a Pupil List via the ‘Choose Columns’ drop-down menu.
You can access the Health & Wellbeing section by navigating to an individual pupil’s profile and then selecting Health & Wellbeing from the options on the left-hand side.
Dietary
In this sub-section, tick boxes can be selected to record any specific dietary requirements for the pupil, such as whether they are vegetarian or vegan. Additional allergies, recorded via the Medical Conditions and Allergies sub-section, will also appear here once added. Information recorded here can also be displayed in the School Meals section of Pupil Asset or within a Pupil List.
Medical
Under this sub-section, you can record basic medical information, such as the pupil’s blood group, their NHS number and whether Emergency Treatment Consent has been given. The medical flag option, once ticked, can be used to filter children within Pupil List and selected to display as an additional column in the Pupil List as well.
Doctor
Under this sub-section, you can record details of a pupil’s doctor and/or medical practice. Click on the Medical Practice drop down menu to input details of a new medical practice or select a medical practice that has already been added for other pupils to pre-populate the fields.
Medical conditions and allergies
Under this sub-section you can declare any specific Medical Conditions or Food Allergies for the pupil alongside any relevant notes. Details added here can be viewed in the Pupils Profile and can also be displayed within a Pupil List
To add a condition, click the blue ‘Add medical condition or allergy’ button. You will be presented with a pop-up window where you can select the an existing medical condition already in use from a drop-down menu, tick if it is a Food Allergy and include any notes about the condition that may be relevant.
If an allergy or medical condition is not available from the drop-down menu, you can add it by going to Admin > Advanced and scrolling down to ‘Add New Medical Condition’.
Health Measurements
In this sub-section you can record an individual pupil’s Height, Weight, BMI and Resting Heart Rate. The date, as well as the relevant school year and term, can also be included so that changes over time can be seen.
Accident Log
This sub-section allows you to record accidents, as well as showing you a list of any previously recorded accidents a pupil has had.
To record an accident, click the blue ‘Add accident’ button and you will be taken to a new page within the Behaviour section of Pupil Asset. From here you can record all relevant information about the accident, including when, where and what happened, as well as the outcome, or any appropriate consequences.
